Mike Hunter

Mike Hunter’s practice is focused on community and condominium association law, and he is the chair of the firm’s Community Associations practice group. The group collectively represents more than 700 homeowners’ associations in North Carolina and South Carolina. His legal background includes real estate and litigation with a concentration in the area of creditors’ rights, including debt collection, bankruptcy, foreclosure, lien enforcement, and collateral recovery. Mike obtained his B.S. in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and his law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law. He writes a semi-weekly column for the Charlotte Observer answering reader questions on HOA-related topics.

Bill Hamel

Bill Hamel has focused primarily on commercial landlord representation and the representation of  homeowners associations and business owners associations. Bill’s experience includes more than 30 years of protecting assets and collecting debts for his clients.

Ben Karb

Ben Karb represents homeowners associations, condominium associations and developers throughout North Carolina and South Carolina. He routinely advises boards of directors about compliance with governing documents and corporate law, collection of delinquent funds and the amendment of governing documents. His clients range from small condominium associations to large, thousand-acre communities. Ben also represents commercial real estate clients with a variety of real estate, leasing and development matters.

Keith Nichols

Keith Nichols is a litigator focused on real property, landlord-tenant matters, construction, and general commercial litigation.
